Simon Chapman Case

Simon Chapman & Sarah Ludford MEP

Sarah Ludford met Briton Simon Chapman on his short visit to the UK. Simon has been charged with serious offences arising out of a protest march last June at the EU summit in Thessaloniki, he was granted bail after a hunger strike and was only allowed to leave Greece for a short time for compassionate family reasons.

Sarah Ludford believes that there are serious questions to be answered around the behaviour of the police and is working with Fair Trials Abroad to ensure that Simon has a fair trial and that any police malpractice is investigated and disciplined.
